A pile of microspheres

I was asking Zagros today about the size of microspheres, and he put some on a glass slide for me.
Due to the varying depth of the pile, it wasn’t possible to get them all in focus as once. I ran my focus stacking software to get more sphere’s in focus. It seems the height I used was insufficient to capture everything, but I think I have about 50% visible here. It’s sufficient to get an idea. The 50 micron scale bar is about the width of my hair; half the width of a hair from a younger person unfortunately!
It really amazes me that something too small for me to see (without the microscope) can me used as a lens to see things much smaller.
